The star players, coaches, directors and officials at FC Bayern Munich are all excited and looking forward to the club’s trip to China, which starts with take-off from Munich airport this Sunday evening. More than anything else, the players are fired up and enthusiastic about the prestigious friendly matches during the tour, in Beijing on 24 July, and in Guangzhou two days later.
In the first match, FCB face Beijing Guo’an, currently third in the Chinese Super League, for the Yingli Cup 2012. Kick-off is at 7.30 pm local time at the Worker’s Stadium in Beijing. The second friendly match, part of this year’s Audi Football Summit, is the meeting with Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg on 26 July at Guangzhou’s 80,000-capacity Olympic Stadium, at 8 pm local time.
